The Initial Steps to Troubleshoot a System or Application Crash with Event Viewer:
To begin, access the search bar on your taskbar (you can also press the Windows key on your keyboard).
Type "Event Viewer" into the search bar.
Choose the Event Viewer app.
On the left-hand side of the window, click the ">” symbol adjacent to the "Windows Logs" folder.
Select "Application."
The left-hand side of the window may appear complex, but to simplify it, right-click the "Level" heading.
Choose "Group Events by this column."
Scroll to the top of the window, and while scrolling down, focus on the "Source" column.
Errors with the source "Application Error" will appear in the "Source" column.
Confirm that the error is from the application or system by clicking on the event. Additional information will be displayed at the bottom of the window, including: "Faulting application name: BlackDesert64.exe."
At the bottom of the window, you will find an "Event ID." Use this to locate the appropriate resolution for your specific Event ID in the Table of Contents.
