Adjusting Virtual Memory to Fix a Black Desert Online Crash If you're experiencing a crash in Black Desert Online, and the Event Viewer displays a faulting module path of "C:***/***/Black Desert Online/bin64/BlackDesert64.exe," then this guide is for you. Here is a step- by-step process to adjust your virtual memory settings and fix the issue:
Click on the search bar in your taskbar.
Type “adj” and select “Adjust the appearance and performance of windows.”
Click on “Advanced” at the top of the window.
Go to the section labeled "Virtual Memory" and click the button that says “Change."
Uncheck the box that says “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.”
If you have multiple storage drives, choose the one where BDO is installed. You can confirm this drive letter from the Event Viewer.
In the middle of the window, select the round button that says “Custom Size.”
Change the values in the fields labeled “Initial size (MB)” and “Maximum Size” to 8192.
Click “Okay” on both windows that you opened.
Test BDO again. If the crash persists, try changing the values from 8192 to 16384 and test again.
